Robert Monteau has been at the helm of Raw Materials Studio (a state of the art converted warehouse kitchen based in Footscray) now for 3 years. It is located only 6kms from the city. The studio kitchen is ideal for events, corporate challenges, photography, exhibitions, open days, product launches, cooking classes, private functions, and entertaining business clients in this unique setting.

Robert has worked as a chef for over 25 years in various exclusive restaurants and five star hotels, including, De Bortoli winery in the Yarra valley, Langton’s with Philippe Mouchel, Donovan’s, The Regent Theatre and The Windsor Hotel. In recent years, Robert has focused on culinary teaching in Box Hill TAFE and Chisholm Institute.

He has also been featured in a book on Executive Chefs in Australia, has appeared on television in a program called Saturday’s Kitchen and was also involved in the TV show for Jamie Oliver’s Foundation 15 which was filmed at Box Hill TAFE. Robert’s passion for food, experience, creativity and energy makes him the perfect candidate to inspire the next generation of chefs and food enthusiasts.
