Chef Deepak Mishra’s career spans the kitchens of numerous 5-star properties across the Asia Pacific. He joined PARKROYAL on Pickering in 2015 after a three-year stint at PARKROYAL Melbourne  where he held the position of Executive Chef.
Born on the East coast of India and trained in French cooking,  Deepak has a sound understanding of Indian, Asian and European cuisine. Calling Melbourne home for the past 17 odd years I have had the privilege of working at some of Melbourne’s finest hotels including The Hotel Windsor, Grand Hyatt Melbourne, Crown Towers and the Marriott and Stamford Melbourne has contributed to his culinary specialty.
During his time at PARKROYAL Melbourne, Deepak played a crucial role in rebranding and repositioning of the hotel from the former Hilton. His new concept menu, which included various dishes prepared using modern culinary techniques, helped to increase average guest spend and satisfaction. Airo Restaurant under his lead was nominated as a Finalist Hotel Restaurant at the Tourism Accommodation Australia Award in 2013 and 2015, and Deepak himself was also a contender for the Hotel Executive Chef of the Year Australasia category at the HM Awards in 2014 and 2015.
Prior to that, he was in Kolkata serving as both Pre-opening and Opening chef at Swissôtel Kolkata, the flagship and first Indian property of Fairmont Raffles Swissôtel Hotel Group. During his tenure, Deepak successfully led the hotel to achieve impressive results and helped the property’s food and beverage department surpass the performance of the other 29 hotels within the chain in 2011.
Deepak has also served as Executive Sous Chef/Executive Chef at the Oberoi Rajvilas Jaipur, which was voted number one hotel in Asia and number two hotel in the World by Travel + Leisure magazine in 2008. In 2015, Chef Deepak was inducted into the “Chaine des Rotisseurs” as a Maitre De and was also the finalist as Indian Executive of the Year at the Indian Executive Club.
Deepak’s impressive credentials extend beyond the kitchens of top luxury hotels. He has catered for some of Australia’s biggest sporting events such as The Australian Open Tennis and Formula One Grand Prix, and has amassed a wealth of experience as a Chef Instructor and working with International Master Chefs in the Great Chefs program.
As Executive Chef of PARKROYAL on Pickering, the unique open-kitchen-concept restaurant with 3 interactive kitchen and bar located at PARKROYAL on Pickering, Deepak leads a team to create Modern, refreshing interpretations of classical International and Asian dishes to suit the style of Lime.  Deepak firmly believes in the importance of a team of like-minded professionals. His team at Limecooks and serves from the heart and, like him, are passionate about making guests happy through food and personable interaction.
